Among the more than 2,300 exhibitors at the Munich trade fair, cargo-partner is once again represented with its own stand. The company is focusing its communication this year with a specially designed booth on the topics of contract logistics, rail transport via the Silk Road and digitisation.

Apart from air and sea freight, cargo-partner has invested heavily in the development of contract logistics as the third pillar of its core service portfolio. In addition to the timber-built iLogistics Center near Vienna Airport (12,250 m²), this includes the iLogistics Center in Sofia (16,500 m²), the partially temperature-controlled warehouse specialised in food logistics in Prague (10,900 m²) and new storage facilities in Hong Kong (6,400 m²) ), Chicago and Clarksville, Tennessee (each 14,000 m²). The most recent project is the construction of a new iLogistics Center in Ljubljana with 22,000 pallet spaces on more than 25,000 m², which will open in late summer 2019.

In 2018, cargo-partner reported consolidated total revenues of EUR 753 million, with significant volume growth in its core business of air and ocean freight. Last year, the logistics provider handled 1,032,232 shipments, including over 173,000 tonnes of air freight and 302,000 TEU of ocean freight. Among the fastest growing business segments of the company is the rail transport via the Silk Road, especially in the LCL area. In the past fiscal year, cargo-partner handled a total volume of more than 35,000 m³ of LCL rail transport and is currently shipping 10-15 LCL containers a week by rail on the Silk Road. With just over 3,000 employees, the company generated a turnover of EUR 753 million  in 2018.
