ITG Global Logistics B.V. and Mimaki Europe B.V. will extend their existing cooperation for further three years. To this end, the leading manufacturer of large-format ink jet printers and cutting plotters signed a corresponding agreement with the Dutch subsidiary of the Germany based logistics provider.
Mimaki Europe B.V., located in Amsterdam, is responsible for sales, marketing, logistics, administration and technical support through sales-partners and dealers for the EMEA region. The Japanese company employs globally 1.400 people and achieved in 2015 sales of about EUR 366 million.
Since 2014 ITG is operating in Amsterdam the logistics centre for Mimaki Europe. In addition to classic logistics services such as goods receiving, storage, pick & pack, additional value added services are provided. ITG also handles parts of the distribution for the customer. Approximately 20.000 orders are processed for this customer per year – with an expected increase since further growth is forecast for digital printing in the coming years.
A new logistics facility with 10,000 m² is currently being developed for ITG in the Amsterdam area, into which the logistics service provider is expected to relocate in July 2017. The new location offers connections for sea, air and road transport. The facility itself is built under strict sustainability criteria and is expandable with a second construction phase, which allows ITG additional capacities.
ITG GmbH Internationale Spedition + Logistik with its headquarters in Schwaig at Munich Airport is a midsized minded logistics service provider with own 12 branches and eight logistics centres in Germany, the Netherlands, USA as well as Russia. The subsidiary ITG Global Logistics B.V. with locations in Amsterdam and Rotterdam has 65 employees and generated net sales of EUR 15 million in 2015.
