The Austrian Logistics Award 2016 was awarded at the gala evening of the Austrian Logistics Day on 7 June 2016. The Association for Network Logistics (VNL) honoured the producer and distributor of cleaning products and equipment Hagleitner Hygiene International (Zell am See, Austria) for its supply chain. This supply chain ensures that customers get custom products in smaller units faster.
Supposedly simple solutions were combined to form a comprehensive and professional approach, including the entire supply chain with the areas of purchase, product development, production and dispatch. Thus Hagleitner could increase the level of service and productivity and shorten delivery time. Customers now get custom products in small units within five days.
“If the logistics sector is organized in an efficient, goal-oriented and solution-oriented manner, the company is normally also positioned dynamically. With modern logistics companies can react quickly to customer requests and market requirements,” said Chief Executive Heinrich Schaller.
The example of the award winner shows in an outstanding manner, what an excellent logistics team can provide for a company, the employees and the entire region. Instead of outsourcing to low-wage countries, the company Hagleitner adheres to the production site in Zell am See (Austria). Logistics thus creates an excellent basis for further business success.
