The transport and logistics service provider Hoyer has taken over the delivery to more than 200 Total service stations in West and North Germany. The Hamburg company has already supplied Total quality fuels to stations in Bremen and in the Ruhr district and Emsland region since February.
Thus the international bulk logistics specialists wins another major stakeholder in the German energy market as a customer. Total operates Germany’s third biggest service station network, with nearly 1,200 stations throughout the country. The contract for deliveries in the Northwest includes fuel scheduling and stock management.
Stefan Küfner, Central Logistics Director for Total Deutschland GmbH, said “We are very satisfied with the smooth takeover of the supply by Hoyer, and expect to achieve a further increase in our safety standard in the logistics chain.”
Volker Schmitz, Managing Director of the Hoyer Mineralöl-Logistik GmbH, is also pleased: “The collaboration strengthens our market position as a service station supplier and partner for the petroleum industry, and also creates 45 new jobs.”
