UPS continues to expand in Tyrol

“This investment demonstrates the confidence UPS has in Austria’s industry,” Thomas Zeller, UPS Country Manager Austria and Slovenia said during the solemn opening of the parcel center in Innsbruck.  “The current expansion will enable us to continue to reliably and efficiently connect the customers in Tyrol with locations in Austria, Europe and around the world.”

Facts and figures of UPS’ expanded parcel center in Innsbruck:

-) The operational area including warehouse space was almost doubled.

-) Ten new parking spaces were created for UPS delivery vehicles.

-) The sorting capacity was increased from 1,000 to 2,500 parcels per hour.

-) New recreation rooms and showers are available for the employees.

-) The first floor is built of wood in order to achieve a better heat and cold insulation.
