Strong growth of cargo-partner Asia Pacific

cargo-partner’s history in Asia began in 2004, when the company founded a branch office in Taipei, Taiwan. This was followed by branches in Hong Kong in 2005 and in Shanghai in 2006.

By 2007, cargo-partner in the Asia-Pacific region had achieved profitability and increased its presence to seven branch offices with a total of 190 employees. By 2010, the company had 13 offices with 405 employees in all of Asia. By 2016, cargo-partner operated 22 offices with 580 employees in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

In the years from 2006 to 2016, cargo-partner managed to increase its turnover in the Asia-Pacific region from EUR 23 million to EUR 180 million. For 2020, the company has set a target of EUR 300 million.

Among the most important recent milestones was the opening of a 3,700 m² bonded customs warehouse in Shanghai in October 2016. At the moment, cargo-partner in Asia is focusing strongly on the continuous development of its services, especially in regard to information technology, eCommerce solutions and vertical market expertise in food and beverage, healthcare, and fashion and textiles.
