The international transport and logistics provider cargo-partner opens a new chapter of contract logistics. At the company headquarters in Fischamend in the Vienna Airport Region, the new iLogistics Center will be inaugurated today. The wooden construction object with 24,500 pallet storage spaces on a total area of ​​12,500 m² and a total of 20 truck loading gates was completed within a construction period of one year. During a press conference, Mag. Stefan Krauter, CEO of the cargo-partner group, estimated the total investment to EUR 17 million.

 Since the summer of 2018, the iLogistics Center in Fischamend has been home to the global spare parts logistics center for small parts, small articles and bulky building material and components of the Austrian company Engel. The building complex currently employs 35 people and still has space for additional customers in need of high-performance full-range solutions of contract logistics, including all accompanying IT instruments in real time. With this object, Stefan Krauter is aiming for a pioneering role in the field of ecologically and economically successful logistics terminals.

For the expansion of contract logistics, cargo-partner has invested more than EUR 50 million in the construction of new locations and the expansion of existing facilities over the past 18 months. The privately owned company celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2018. Its 2,780 employees at 130 locations in more than 30 countries generated sales of EUR 698 million in the previous year with the international forwarding of 1 million consignments with a total weight of 3 million tonnes. The worldwide network of warehouses includes 44 stations with 190,000 pallet spaces on 229,000 m² of storage space.
