Vienna becomes Air India’s eight non-stop destination in Europe

“We are pleased to welcome Air India, a new long-haul carrier, to Vienna Airport. In addition to its significance as a capital city region and important Indian business centre, Delhi is also very attractive as a tourist destination. At the same time, Vienna is an important market for tourism from India”, says Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.

“Vienna will be 8th city in Europe to be connected directly with non-stop services from Delhi. With our Star Alliance partner Austrian Airlines we are very positive that the flight will do very well”, said Pankaj Srivastava, Commercial Director, Air India.

Air India closes the gap that that resulted from the elimination of the previous connection New Delhi-Vienna. Air India will deploy a Boeing Dreamliner 787-800 on flights taking off at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Delhi and landing at 6:45 p.m. in Vienna. The return flight will depart from Vienna at 10:45 p.m. and arrive in Delhi at 9:25 a.m. next day.

Air India was founded in 1932, and currently operates a fleet of 107 aircraft, flying to 35 destinations around the world, and 69 within India.
