UTA is pioneering single-trip reporting for HGVs

Forwarding agents and transport companies who use the interoperable UTA One toll solution now have complete transparency over the travel times and routes of each individual HGV and can pass on the details of their toll costs to their customers. The data transmitted by the toll system operators are professionally processed by Union Tank Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG (UTA) and then made available to customers in the UTA Exclusive Section in the form of a report.

This service is initially available for the toll systems in Belgium including the Liefkenshoek-tunnel, France, Italy, Austria, Poland (A4), Portugal and Spain. As soon as other European countries will be included in the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) and integrated into UTA One, the single-trip reporting service will be expanded accordingly.

“We are the first EETS provider to make such accurate reports on the trips of each individual HGV available to customers”, says Volker Huber, CEO at UTA. “We have thus finally created a convenient reporting solution for all toll systems and the on-charging of the resulting costs.”

Union Tank Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG (UTA) is one of the leading providers of fuel and service cards in Europe. Commercial customers can use the UTA card system to refuel, independent of brand and without cash, at more than 59,000 points in 40 European countries and use other en-route services. These include toll invoicing, repair shop services, breakdown and towing services as well as the refund of VAT and fuel tax.
