Turkish Airlines increases its frequency to Graz

“We are very satisfied with the flight service, and are confident the increased frequency from four to seven weekly flights that will become effective from 18 June will be welcomed by the passengers and the industry in Southern Austria. These flights will connect Graz Airport via the Istanbul hub to Africa, the Near, Middle and Far East“, says Hüseyin Güzel, General Manager Turkish Airlines in Graz.

Landesrat Mag. Dr. Christian Buchmann: Accessibility by road, rail and aircraft is essential for Styria’s economy. The increased frequency between Graz and Istanbul by Turkish Airlines is a very positive signal for this economic region. Exporting companies benefit from improved accessibility of important future markets. Moreover existing jobs can be secured and new ones can be creates.“

The departure times on the additional flight days Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday allow a better use of Turkish Airlines’ about 280 flight connections in Istanbul.

“A daily connection to Istanbul, a big airport for changes, is an important move towards internationalisation of tourism and industry, for Styria but also for the entire catchment area of Graz Airport“, DI Wolfgang Malik, CEO Holding Graz and Mag. Gerhard Widmann, Managing Director Flughafen Graz, agree.
