SOL offers a new cargo connection between Rostock and Rauma

SOL Continent Line increases the number of its connections between Finland and Germany by a weekly departure between Rostock and Rauma. UPM operates this connection and offers a capacity of 1.068 loading metres. In 2016 departures will double due to a second ship on the route. The agreement continues the SOL strategy of forming strategic partnerships in the Northern European ferry traffic. Bookings can be made vial SOL Continent Line agencies in Rostock and Hanko. The new route complements the already existing connections between Rostock and Hanko as well as the connection to Oulu and Kemi which is run from Lübeck.
„The new route continues to strengthen the SOL Continent Line cargo business between Finland and Germany and expands our connections and positions in ocean freight business in the Baltic Sea region. The new agreement with UPM is an additional expansion of the strategic SOL partnerships. We are very happy to be in a position to offer a new and additional route between Germany and Finland to our customers”, sags Ragnar Johansson, managing director Swedish Orient Line.
„UPM is delighted with the cooperation with SOL which we appreciate as a professional organisation and which complements our own service with the necessary expertise”, sags Lauri Rikala, director European shipping UPM.
