Quehenberger is taking action to expand its ocean freight actitivies

Since May 2016 Quehenberger Logistics has been the exclusive partner of the NVOCC (Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier) Q Line. Thus the Salzburg logistics company expands its global sea freight services and is able to offer a more comprehensive service to the European, Asian and American markets.

“With this partnership, we have reached a standard that is only common with large corporations”, says Klaus Hrazdira, the competent COO . “After we have seen our seafreight volumes growing ahead of plan for one year, it was a logical step to sustainably position our enterprise in the international market. This means for our customers: More safety, quality and efficiency”.

In 2016 Quehenberger puts a focus on the development of its sea freight business. The respective division is headed by General Manager Robert Hartmann, who has many years of expertise, and has been applying it with Quehenberger since mid-2015. Besides the headquarters in Salzburg, branches in Linz and Vienna, the international market is also served from Hamburg, and from summer 2016 also from Koper. The number of staff will rise in the next two years in order to be able to ideally serve the rapidly growing business.

Klaus Hrazdira sees the specific orientation of the company as a reason for this positive development. “Quehenberger offers its customers the advantages of a medium-sized company combined with an international focus. Or in other words: Flexible, personalised attention with a global power force”. This is what is increasingly demanded in the transport industry. An important part of this philosophy is, apart from competent staff, also reliable partners like Q Line.

Q Line based in Hong Kong is licensed as NVOCC with the Federal Maritime Commission in the US, and meets all current international governmental and UN regulations. The liability is covered by a recognised international insurance company. The service portfolio includes all activities in the segments of ocean freight such as full container loads (FCL), less than container loads (LCL), the transport of bulk cargo or special transports.
