First Bombardier TRAXX AC3 locomotive in Austria is operated in the colors of the LTE group

Premiere with the 15th anniversary of LTE Austria

At its 15th anniversary, LTE Logistik- und Transport GmbH headquartered in Graz, draws the attention to a special news: on June 27, the company presented the first Bombardier TRAXX 187 AC3 Last Mile locomotive in Austria.
What was convincing about the new acquisition, was the Last Mile feature, making the change of the electric locomotive to a marshalling or diesel locomotive on non-electrified route sections finally redundant. The advantage: Greater flexibility from the first to the last meter of the transport.
This comes with significant time saving, which in turn reduces costs. A pleasant “side effect”: The diesel engine of the new Bombardier locomotive meets all requirements for low-emission engines, saving the environment.
With locations in eight European countries and the sister company Adria Transport in Slovenia, the LTE group transported six million tonnes of goods per year (ranging from agricultural products and hazardous goods to entire underground sets) across Europe from the North Sea to the Black Sea, from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean. Eight logistics and service facilities at their own locations ensure smooth a freight transport process – from the origin to the point of delivery.
As an innovative private railway enterprise, LTE has over 30 own electric and diesel locomotives – and now also the TRAXX 187 AC3 Last Mile locomotive by Bombardier.
