Phoenix International Freight becomes part of Ziegler Group

Phoenix Freight International was founded in 1986 and specializes in international transport operations across Europe, with an extensive pan-European network of agents in all major European cities. This company employs 35 people in total; working in the office and warehouse in Basildon and also in the transit office based in Hull.
Its activities are complementary with those of Ziegler UK who already have 10 branches in the UK. This acquisition strengthens the position of Ziegler UK in the UK and is part of the strong will of the Group to continue its expansion through acquisitions.
With more than 3,200 staff members, 120 operational sites, 930,000 m² of warehouses and an invoicing figure of EUR 1.2 billion (2013), the Ziegler Group is amongst the European leaders in the multimodal transport organization (road haulage, airfreight and seafreight) and logistics.
Beyond the Benelux, the Ziegler Group has been developing its activities in France, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, as well as Ireland, Poland, Greece, Tunisia, Morocco, South Africa and China. But next to its own sites, Ziegler covers the whole world thanks to a powerful exclusive agents network.
