Ontime Logistics sets the way course for growth in Eastern Austria

Ontime Logistics, a forwarding company from Salzburg, is implementing full-range solutions from small parcels to large projects for customers worldwide. For the Eastern Austria and cross-border business, a new site in Maria Lanzendorf close to Vienna was opened these days. Initially 15 employees will serve the customers there in the sectors express cargo, air and ocean freight. The number of staff is planned to be increased in the forseseeable future.

“The new site in Maria Lanzendorf, located directly at the S1 express road, has a special meaning for the Road sector as a hub for Eastern Austria, Hungary and other Eastern European countries,” said Roland Schäffner, Co-Managing Director of Ontime Logistics. In addition, the proximity of the airport is a benefit for air freight. Their own designated handling office at the Vienna International Airport is reducing runtimes through customs service around the clock.

The focus of the new location in the Vienna area is on cross-border business: at Ontime Logistics this means 3rd party 3rd country-direct deliveries, which brings the advantage of a maintained information chain just like for shipments from Austria. The company handles e.g. deliveries of a phone producer from China directly to Manaus, Brazil, or carries parts of aircraft manufacturers from Malaysia to the United Kingdom, or from the United Arab Emirates to France.

Ontime Logistics was established by the two forwarders Kurt Posch and Roland Schäffner in 2001, with the aim of re-defining the term “quality in the transport and logistics sector”. Today, the company has around 100 employees at its headquarters in Neumarkt am Wallersee (Salzburg) and at various sites in Linz, Innsbruck, Vienna and Budapest. In the Management Board, Roland Schäffner is responsible for air and sea freight as well as international and overseas, while Kurt Posch is responsible for express, special trips and Europe.

The clients come from the automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, mechanical and plant engineering as well as from the film and media industry. Global corporations like Sony DADC, Mango, Plasser&Theurer, FACC or KTM as international sports motorcycle manufacturer use the global “Ontime” network.
