The Austrian specialist and express logistics company Ontime Logistics Speditions GmbH opened its new headquarters in Bergheim near Salzburg on October 29th. There and at their other branches, around 100 employees handle more than 350,000 shipments and special transports each year, generating annual turnover of around EUR 40 million.

Ontime Logistics has developed a market niche into a successful concept and was ISO certified recently. “This is a flagship model for the logistics location of Salzburg,” said Governor Wilfried Haslauer, praising the achievements of the on-time team during a small opening ceremony. Currently, the so-called B2C business, i.e. the supply of end customers, is becoming increasingly important. Following this insight, they want to be even closer to the customer in the future and also open new locations in Graz and Vorarlberg.

After the Bergheim municipality published its overall concept for the business park based on the sustainable use of existing properties and a new transport concept, the managing directors of Ontime Logistics, Kurt Posch and Roland Schäffner decided to set up their headquarters there. They invested around EUR 3 million in the conversion of the former Universal Versand building. Within seven months of construction, 1,100 m2 of state-of-the-art office space was created.

In addition, their own storage and picking areas of up to 20,000 m2 are available. “We are delighted to have such an innovative and internationally experienced logistics service provider in our business park,” says Bergheim’s Mayor Roland Bukovc, who is pleased about the new addition and the associated use of synergies.
