The first ship has been loaded and the Corabia River facility, in the south of Romania is now officially operational.

The new terminal consists of  grain storing, handling and conditioning facilities with a capacity of 18,000 metric tons (MT), divided in six silos of 3,000 MT each. The facility is equipped with a laboratory, two truck weighing scales, a conveying system of 150 MT per hour capacity and a dryer with heat recovery. Also, a temperature and aeration system, barge delivery system and a hopper scale for the weighing of grains can be found in the brand new Corabia facility.

The new facility on the banks of the river Danube, in the south of Romania is strategically located. It facilitates the collection of crops from farmers and other facilities in the region in order to feed Nidera’s port terminal in Constanta. The facility is a welcome addition to the current network of facilities in the Black Sea region. It allows to further increase the capacity and optimize the logistics processes.
