Günther Reder from Upper Austria, together with his two deputies Markus Fischer and Roman Eder, will take over the fortunes of the Association for Freight Transport in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ).
In this function he wants to prepare Austria’s freight transport industry for the future. “We have to face the challenges of digitisation, driver shortage and active image work with the Friends on the Road brand in concrete and urgent terms. At the same time I thank my predecessor Franz Danninger for his untiring work for Austria’s carriers. He has given a face to the topic of the nocturnal speed limit of 60 km/h for trucks, or the demand for its repeal,” said the new Chairman.
Reder Transporte is a fifth generation family business founded in 1903. Today, the Reder Group owns three brands: Reder Transporte KG, Erro Spedition- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH and Tazytrans Logistik GmbH in Ennsbach, Lower Austria. Reder currently manages 235 trucks, 6,000 m² of storage space and employs more than 400 people.
