Gefco offers new service support for the supply chain

Gefco, a global player in industry logistics and European industry leader in automotive logistics, presents a new dedicated service for the supply chain. Gefco’s new offer shall meet the requirements of logistics planning in terms of internationalisation, flexibility, competitiveness and innovation.

The new offer includes the three service levels Core Freight, Integrated Logistics, Strategic-Xpert, the two overlapping competence areas Industry Solutions and Geo Gateways, as well as a customised service offer called One Time Solutions.

Gefco’s Core Freight offer serves as a solid basis for door-to-door solutions, which constitute the core business of the group. Integrated Logistics is the core area of the new offer for supply and door-to-door distribution solutions for industrial goods, finished products, vehicles and spare parts. Strategic-Xpert uses 4PL solutions to provide a transport technology that allows the optimisation of planning, purchasing, physical transport flows, financial and customer information services.

Industry Solutions covers international supply chain solutions for various industries: automotive, motorcycle, electronics, aerospace, defense, industrial, hi-tech, rolling and oversized goods, consumer goods / fast moving consumer goods. The Geo Gateway offer includes multimodal door-to-door solutions for transportation to / from strategic regions such as Russia, the CIS and Baltic States (Gateway 1520), East Asia and North Africa (Maghreb Gateway).

One Time Solutions offers customised solutions for the fulfillment of specific and immediate customer needs such as emergency supply, industrial projects or event logistics.

Gefco is represented in 150 countries and achieved a total turnover of EUR 4.2 billion in 2015 with 12,000 employees. In Austria, the group has five branch offices and approximately 60 employees. With more than 400 branch offices worldwide, the group is expanding its activities in Southeast Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, in the Balkans, East Asia and South America.
