Together with their Japanese client, Cargomind Speditions GmbH is organising the air transportation of a production plant for vaccines to Japan. The pharmaceutical bioreactor and processing plant of the producer Vogelbusch Biopharma (Vienna) has a total weight of 37.5 tonnes and about 350 cubic metres.
„Due to the size of the transport boxes and the total weight, we chartered the world’s biggest serial-built cargo aircraft – Antonov 124. The cargo aircraft has landed in Linz on 3 July. The machine will leave Linz on 7 July, arriving at its destination Tokyo after a short tank stop in Ulyanovsk (Russia)“, explains proejct manager Horst Gimpl, Cargomind forwarding.
“Handling the Antonov 124 is not an every-day business for us, and a logistic challenge“, says Dietmar Schram, Head of the air freight segment at the blue danube airport linz.
As a globally acting logistics provider Cargomind organises air freight, sea freight and land transport. In addition to their Austrian locations in Vienna, Linz, Graz and Innsbruck the enterprise has also own locations in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and also in China (Shanghai) since 2015. In air freight transport Cargomind is cooperating with reputable cargo airlines, with international groups among their customers.
