Ekol Logistics will implement its first location in Austria earlier than expected. The Turkish company confirms the OEVZ logistics Magazine its plans for a branch at the Villach Süd cargo station. The location will serve as a competence center for wagon management.
Like in 2016, the number of shipments Ekol Logistics carried in intermodal transport in Europe will rise by around 25 percent also for this year. If this business dynamics continues, the company will have to triple its offer on the rail in the next years. This results in an enormous demand for services related to waggon management on the German routes alone, which the planned location at the freight terminal Villach Süd in Fürnitz should cover in cooperation with the local ÖBB workshop.
Ekol Logistics is committed to the provision of largely green transport solutions on the links between Europe on the one hand and Turkey, Iran and the countries of the Middle East on the other hand. For this purpose, sophisticated and closely interlinked logistics concepts with shipments from Trieste to Istanbul with upstream or downstream block trains to and from Germany, the Czech Republic and Belgium are ready.
