DSV with new logistics centre in Prague

On 26 October, DSV officially inaugurated a new logistics facility in Prague. All their activities – Air & Sea, Road and Solutions – are now gathered at the new 23,000 sq. m. facility.

The new site was finished by the end of August, and moving in went on throughout September, allowing Solutions to move in first, followed by Road (moving from two former locations) and then finally Air & Sea. A total of 300 employees are now working here.

The new facility consists of:

-) 3,000 sq. m. office building (Air & Sea and Road)

-) 7,000 sq. m. / 71 ramp cross-docking terminal (Road)

-) 13,000 sq. m. warehouse (Solutions)

Mikael Kjeldgaard, MD, DSV Air & Sea CZ, sumed it up quite well: “Besides gathering our three divisional activities under the same roof, our new organization (including UTi) needed more space, and thankfully, it was possible to add another floor to the office building at the last minute”.

“The main reason we decided to move to this location was that it was close to our former locations in Dobroviz and Prague-Ruzyně and that we wanted to build a cross-docking terminal and warehouse in to suit our specific needs as well as ensuring space for future expansion,” said Petr Chocholaty, MD, DSV Road CZ.
