“It is a myth to take mental strength for granted. This is a skill that can be learnt and practiced”, states bulk logistics specialist Bertschi

Driver training 2015 – including a mental training for the first time

“We were very pleased to receive such plentiful feedback on the topic of health and safety, fitness and nutrition, following last year’s driver training programme. A high number of our driving staff now keeps a healthier lifestyle and take more exercise, as a result. We have therefore decided to go a step further this time and deal with the topic of “mental strength” as part of our driver training in 2015“, Bertschi AG inform on their website.
During two hours of theoretical and practical sessions, professional mental coaches will teach us a wide range of options to better deal with stressful situations. Various exercises of breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation, tapping methods and acupressure to the point of selfhypnosis, which all help to reduce stress, will be demonstrated to the participants.
These exercises are of benefit wherever and whenever a maximum performance is called upon, in order to be successful, but also to help stay calm and keep selfcontrol. The exercises are structured in a way that require little time and can be practiced everywhere.
Bertschi is convinced that good mental strength makes a difference to logistics professionals at the wheel and in the office. It leads to an increased sense of superiority in daily actions and thus improves the safety in all aspects and areas of the whole logistics chain.
