Donaulager Logistics expands its logistics competence

Launching the dangerous goods warehouse the specialist for dangerous goods, water-endangering substances, pharmaceutical products, frozen and refrigerated products completes its product range as a quality logistics specialist for professional and safe warehousing in Austria and for transport in Austria, Central and Eastern Europe.

Lithium batteries are used in almost all areas of everyday life. In particular “mobile devices” (= smartphones, notebooks or cameras), “small vehicles” (= drives for scooters, bicycles or lawn mowers) and “automotive” (hybrid drives, electric gearboxes) are gaining importance.

The small power stations are considered to be safe when properly handled. However, specific danger may occur which requires special measures for personal safety and fire protection. As the first officially approved hasardous goods warehouse for lithium batteries the company ensures safe and professional storage of these sensitive goods.

Donaulager Logistics was founded in 1954 as “Österreichische Zollfreizonen-Betriebs-AG”. Since 1998 the company is a 100%-subsidiary of Linz AG with currently around 110 employees. The site at the port of Linz has a direct rail siding, three motorway exits as well as a container terminal in the immediate vicinity.
