As the offical logistics partner, DHL takes the Formula 1 to the German Grand Prix, taking place at the Hockenheimring circuit from 26th to 28th of July. Including five races within just seven weeks, the race schedule is particularly tight this summer: The races in France and Austria were held on two successive weekends, the British Grand Prix and the Hockenheimring race followed fortnightly.

The race in Hungary will follow just one week after the German Grand Prix. In particular the back-to-back races on two successive weekends are presenting major challenges – not just for teams and drivers, but also in regards to logistics, as there are only a few days between removal and setup.

DHL has been operating on behalf of the Formula 1 for more than 35 years, and has been the official logistics partner since 2004. Some employees of the DHL motor sports team have worked for more than 500 races. “The Formula 1 truly stands for speed, precision, and performance“, said Markus Reckling, Managing Director, DHL Express Germany. “These skills are the basis of our business and global success, ” he adds.
