DB Schenker launches pan-European “Premium 10”-service

DB Schenker gave the starting signal for a unique product innovation on 22 May. With immediate effect, DB SCHENKERsystem premium gives customers another option to choose – which is even faster and more efficient: “Premium 10”. This version offers companies a time-defined service and guaranteed delivery of the shipment by 10 am at the latest.

Last year, the integrated transport and logistics provider has completely restructured its land transport network in Europe and successfully launched its “DB SCHENKERsystem” and “DB SCHENKERsystem premium” products on the market. The daily connections between all European business centers allow for faster distribution of goods and more flexibility of production for European companies. Through “Premium 10”, DB Schenker optimises its product range and offers customers another significant advantage in terms of delivery time.

“The new Premium 10 is all about speed. It is an efficient solution for all companies who want to receive their shipments quickly and can not wait until the afternoon. This gives our customers a significant competitive advantage over one of the most scarce resources – which is time,” says Christian Drenthen, Executive Vice President Land Transport at DB Schenker Europe.

Helmut Schweighofer, CEO of DB Schenker in Austria and Southeastern Europe, adds: “We are pleased that ‘Premium 10’ enables us to offer our customers time-defined and guaranteed terms throughout Europe and thus meet even better the increasing just-in-time production requirements of companies”.

The new transport network seamlessly connects all of DB Schenker’s existing 430 land transport locations in 38 European countries in a state-of-the-art production system. As the largest freight company on land, DB Schenker can consolidate freight shipments and, by using an innovative platform strategy, significantly reduce transport times and thus CO2 emissions. More than 20,000 employees handle freight shipments every day and connect Europe’s industry in the new groupage network.
