According to the agreement just signed, one of the new tenants of the BUD Cargo City will be DB Schenker. The new area offering an additional 21,600m² of warehouse space near Terminal 2 of Budapest Airport has already reached its final form, while next to it groundworks are progressing at full speed for the so-called forwarder building.
The latter will offer 11,200m² of combined warehouse and office space adjacent to the cargo operations warehouse and to the new 32,000m² cargo apron yet to be built this year.
In Hungary, DB Schenker operates over 52 000 m² of warehousing space with a central location in Szigetszentmiklós (just South of Budapest near the M0 motorway) where the company also has its Hungarian headquarters of land-based, air- and maritime freight forwarding operations on over 5000 m².
