Damen.Logistik.Club made a stopover in Upper Austria

The Damen.Logistik.Club (“Ladies’ Logistics Club”)accepted the invitation by KommR Alfred Schneckenreither to visit the “all wels“, a state-of-the-art terminal. On a tour through they presented the plant’s five different halls, representing a total covered warehouse capacity of around 30,000 m² (23,600 pallet spaces) and 1,200 m² of warehouse space for value-added services. The logistics hub with its designated rail connection and a terminal for combined transport has a pioneering role in one-stop-shop business and allows customers to satisfy several complementary needs with a single point of contact.
The tour continued to the adjacent, newly built central warehouse of Spar, where Bernhard Thallinger, Manager Logistics, Organisation and Goods Flow presented the three expansion stages of the warehouse to the ladies.
Equipped with the fully automated warehousing and picking system OPM, high-bay storage, roll containers and optimised inbound and outbound goods area, the Spar central warehouse can be considered as the most advanced and most efficient logistics center.  Implemented by Witron, the intralogistics ensures efficient goods handling and rapid replenishment to the destination addresses.
The Ladies’ logistics club “Damen.Logistik.Club” (DLC)was founded by Romana Steko-Papousek MBA, in autumn 2014. About 120 Austrian decision-makers from the transport and logistics industry, and logistics managers from industry and commerce and competent leaders of the bmvit (Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology), the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and logistics associations, count among the committed members of the club. The objective of the DLC is to strengthen the women’s network and to improve conditions in the transport and logistics sector, as well as the cooperation of different transport modes.
