Cosco Pacific acquires minority stake in Euromax Terminal Rotterdam

Europe Container Terminals (ECT) sold a 35% stake in its Euromax Terminal Rotterdam to Cosco Ports (Rotterdam) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cosco Pacific Limited.

This strategic partnership is beneficial for both parties, giving ECT the possibilities to better serve Cosco CS (China Cosco Shipping Corporation Limited) and its alliance partners and Cosco Pacific a strong presence at the Port of Rotterdam.

The Euromax Terminal Rotterdam, one of the five deepsea container terminals on the Maasvlakte, has been operational since 2010. It is a modern, automated container handling facility and one of the most sustainable terminals in the world. It has been especially designed for the fast, safe and efficient handling of the very largest container ships. The depth along the quay is 16.65 metres, quay length is 1,500 metres.
