CLdN BV from Rotterdam builds on Kögel Cargo Rail

CLdN Cargo BV from Rotterdam in the Netherlands ordered 100 new Kögel Cargo Rails for its vehicle fleet. CLdN Cargo BV offers their customers door-to-door transport using their own trailers via short sea shipping, to and from Great Britain, Ireland, Portugal and Scandinavia. It also provides forwarding and logistics services via all modes of transport within Europe.

With the new Kögel trailers, CLdN Cargo BV is not only updating its existing vehicle fleet of over 800 trailers, but is also making a significant contribution to protecting the environment and reducing CO2 emissions. Thanks to the flexibility to use the Kögel trailers on roads, railways and ships, CLdN Cargo BV can take optimum advantage of ferry and rail transport on main routes, and benefit from the truck’s flexibility for both pre-carriage and onward carriage.

The trailers are designed for transport on fast freight trains with speeds of up to 140 km/h. By request, the trailers for unaccompanied boat and ferry transport feature optional RoRo equipment.

Kögel is one of the leading trailer manufacturers in Europe. Since it was established in 1934, the company has manufactured more than 500,000 trailers. The company headquarters and main production facility of Kögel Trailer GmbH & Co. KG are located in the Bavarian town of Burtenbach. In addition to these, Kögel also has factories and premises in Neu-Ulm (Germany), Duingen (Germany), Chocen (Czech Republic) and Moscow (Russia).
