On March 23, Mag. Stefan Krauter, CEO of the cargo-partner group, welcomed a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Embassy in Austria at the company headquarters in Fischamend. After a short presentation followed by a tour, Mr. Gao Xingle (Counsellor of Economy and Trade) and Mr. Zhao Zhao (First Secretary of the Economic and Trade Department) were able to gain an idea of the strengths of the international logistics company. The meeting was aimed to strengthen the economic relations between Austria and China.
Particularly regarding integrated services – both for imports and exports – Stefan Krauter sees the future in China. Accordingly, in the future the customers will increasingly be working together with lead logistics providers able to cover all segments of the supply chain, including IT.
During this meeting, the cargo-partner team, represented by Stefan Krauter, Christoph Grasl (Managing Director Austria / Regional Director CEE), Enikö Györfi (Trade Lane Manager CEE – Greater China) and Gong Zhongwei (Business Development Manager), emphasised on their conviction that Western China will gain economic importance in the next few years. All the more so because rail transport on the Trans-Siberian corridor has become a top service.
The cargo-partner group has been operating a subsidiary in China since 2006. Among the most important recent milestones was the opening of a bonded customs warehouse with 3,700 m² of storage space for electronic parts (more than 5,000 different items) in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Bonded Logistics Park.
In 2016 cargo-partner counted 354 employees and forwarded 92,000 shipments, thereby generating turnover of EUR 82 million. For 2017 and subsequent years, the group targets a growth of around 20 percent, which Stefan Krauter called healthy and feasible with high quality.
