The Bremische Hafeneisenbahn (Bremen port railway) offers a new service to its customers. The “railway.tools” application of DB Netz AG gives transport logistic providers and freight forwarders the opportunity to plan combined transport between road and rail more easily.

The interactive map provides a transparent overview of the access options for the pre-, main and post-carriage in European combined transport. All rail-bound public container terminals in Europe are retrieved with the associated direct and transfer connections and their operators. In addition, transport logistics and forwarding companies, which are available for First and Last Mile road transport, are displayed at home and abroad.

The port railway, with stations in Bremerhaven, Bremen Grolland and Bremen Inlandshafen, is a powerful interface between the hinterland and the waterside transhipment terminals. It creates the conditions for the ports of Bremen to be the most efficient rail port in Europe in terms of percentage turnover.
