Linz AG Hafen and Donaulager Logistics became partners of Austrian Logistics with effect from April 10, 2019. The partnership to the umbrella brand of the Austrian logistics sector – under the direction of the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology – confirmed outstanding logistics quality of the two companies of Linz Service GmbH (subsidiary of Linz AG).
Both companies are committed to strengthening Austria as a business location and the industry through pioneering, resource-saving and high-quality logistics services. “As a new brand partner of Austrian Logistics, we want to use our expertise to contribute to strengthening cooperation and exchanging knowledge and experience between the players in the discipline of logistics,” says Port Director Harald Kronsteiner, MBA.
The Austrian Logistics umbrella brand was founded by the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology – together with the Central Association of Forwarding & Logistics, the Federation of Austrian Industry, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the association Netzwerk Logistik and Bundesvereinigung Logistik Österreich. The aim is to position the services of Austrian logistics companies on an international level and to raise the awareness of their significance for Austria as a business location also within the country.
The port of Linz – consisting of Linz AG Hafen and Donaulager Logistics – is an internationally important logistics center and offers a container terminal, trading and tank port with transhipment facilities, warehouses and general cargo halls, special warehousing of refrigerated, frozen and pharmaceutical goods, as well as of dangerous goods and water polluting substances. In the field of transport logistics, Donaulager Logistics acts as a partner for group, part and full loads throughout the EU. The port of Linz currently employs around 200 people.
