The implementation of cargo-partner’s iLogistics Center in Ljubljana is according to plan. The construction works are on target, allowing for the planned opening in the summer of 2019, the logistics company informs in a letter.
The new iLogistics Center is located next to Ljubljana Airport, and approximately 20 minutes from the city center. It will provide more than 25,000 m² of storage space and create 30 new jobs in the first phase. The investment was recently prized with the “Invest Slovenia FDI Award” in the category “Logistics Center/Hub” by the organisation SPIRIT Slovenia on 27 November 2018.
At the award ceremony, Viktor Kastelic, Managing Director of cargo-partner in Slovenia, explained the motivation for the project: “We believe that the convenient location near Brnik Airport and the ports of Koper and Trieste will be of strategic importance for transports from Asia and into the Mediterranean region also in the future.”
He also emphasised the company’s integrated approach to logistics as a key factor on the market: “As a mid-sized company, we are able to create customised solutions to meet the needs of specific customers and industries. We do not just offer transports from A to B, but strive for deep integration with customers through our comprehensive IT systems. This enables us to support our customers at every point in their supply chain.”
