AirBridgeCargo enhances its horizon to the “Black Continent”

AirBridgeCargo Airlines launches new freighter service connecting Frankfurt/Main and London-Stansted to Africa twice-weekly

AirBridgeCargo enhances its horizon to the “Black Continent”

As of mid-February AirBridgeCargo Airlines operates services to Africa for the first time. The twice-weekly flights using Boeing 747 freighters will be operated every Thursday and Sunday by ABC’s partner airline CargoLogicAir (CLA). The routing will start ex Stansted (STN) via Frankfurt (FRA) to Libreville (LBV) and to Johannesburg (JNB) with further routing to Nairobi (NBO), from where it is returning to Stansted.

These new destinations will provide ABC’s customers with even greater choice of delivery options. The proposed schedule allows for smooth connections with the existing network of ABC at its regional European gateway in Frankfurt/Main, opening the entire African continent to the ABC clients in North America, Far East and South-East-Asia.

“Introducing services to Africa is a big step for our company. New points of destination and origin in Africa will provide our customers with direct service via ABC’s stations in Europe, Asia and the US,” said Robert van de Weg, Senior Vice-President for Sales&Marketing of AirBridgeCargo Airlines. “We are also delighted to use services of our partner CargoLogicAir to create these new opportunities for our clients,” he adds.
