The Noerpel Group has just officially opened its 12,000 m² forwarding terminal in Odelzhausen. The new building was realised in close cooperation with the logistics real estate developer Panattoni Europe directly on the A8 motorway between Munich and Augsburg in the district of Dachau. It provides the subsidiary Ascherl-Noerpel with space for further expansion.

The new freight forwarding facility in Odelzhausen has a handling area of around 8,800 m², 100 loading gates and modern offices. Ascherl-Noerpel mainly realizes overland transports for its customers – within Germany as well as to all European countries. The services also include sea and air freight handling and rail transport.

“The new location with modern infrastructure offers all possibilities to grow further together with our customers”, says Stefan Noerpel-Schneider. “We see a great demand in the region for international, sophisticated transport and logistics solutions.” The team in Odelzhausen already moves more than 800 tons of goods per day – and the trend is rising.

At Ascherl-Noerpel’s previous location in Munich, capacities were exhausted, but the company was unable to expand any further due to its inner city location. The relocation was therefore urgently necessary. With around 70 truckloads, Noerpel transported warehouse and office equipment, tools and technical equipment from Munich to Odelzhausen in December.

Founded in 1881, the Noerpel Group is now one of the leading logistics service providers in Southern Germany. With 16 locations in Germany and Switzerland, ten of them in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria alone, the family-owned company from Ulm is one of the fastest growing providers in the industry.

The Noerpel Group combines the service areas of transport and logistics with extensive co-packing services and its own personnel service. For the financial year 2019, a turnover of around 480 million euros is forecast.
