The new iLogistics Center of the cargo-partner group in Fischamend near Vienna comprises 24,500 pallet spaces in the high-bay warehouse on 7,800 m² as well as block storage on 2,000 m² in the incoming and outgoing goods area and a small parts warehouse on 1,800 m² with 10,000 boxes. The official opening will take place in September.
According to the company, the logistics operation has already started and the first goods receipt took place on 1 June. The new sustainable warehouse in wood construction is not only temperature and humidity-led, but also almost dust-free. In addition to excellent insulation and soil quality, locks are installed on all truck docks to ensure the temperature stability and cleanliness of the warehouse.
A total of 4,200 m³ of wood were used in the construction. The wood-based implementation allows a cost-effective temperature control between 15 ° C and 26 ° C (+/- 2 ° C), a constant humidity of up to 70 percent, low operating costs and significant savings in CO2 emissions. For the construction, only materials that are produced with low CO2 emissions were selected.
