Yusen Logistics is expanding its storage capacity in Duisburg-Rheinhausen

Yusen Logistics strengthens its logistic presence in Duisburg by renting a new warehouse. Adding another 8,700 m² brings the capacity to a total of 62,000 m². The nearly contiguous complex of halls is located in Europe’s largest inland port, provides an excellent access to the motorway, and is in close proximity to a container terminal with rail and inland waterway connections to the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp.
Commissioning the new warehouse, the company is investing in the expansion of value-added services and is increasingly focusing on the optimal integration of the customers’ value chains. In addition, intelligent processes ensure smooth flow of goods and information.
The expansion of the plant was urgently required because national businesses have been developing very positive, and significant new businesses could be won. Yusen Logistics intends to put into operation more logistics areas in the near future.
In addition to conventional services such as warehousing and X-dock for the B2B sector, the focus is on value-added services that complement the portfolio and provide customers with a full range of services. Furthermore, the area for return logistics was expanded and they invested in a fully automated sorting machine. This way Yusen Logistics is expanding its B2C area, offering its customers additional services.
