The next European election will take place on 26 May 2019. In order to point this out to the citizens of Austria, the Ape “Europa.cafe-Mobil” will be touring Europe with Europe Direct and Europe NGOs such as the Young European Federalists (JEF) or AIESEC. Over a good cup of coffee, passers-by talk about Europe and lead, preferably, lively discussions.
The appropriate platform for this, a Piaggio Ape converted into a coffee bar, was created by Lagermax Autotransport GmbH, a modification center specializing in special conversions, based on an idea by Heinz “Swixi” Müller and the wishes of Daniel Gerer, head of Europe Direct Vienna .The lacquered vehicle is equipped with a professional cafeteria where all kinds of coffee and tea can be freshly prepared. The authors Dr. Nana Walzer and Heinz Müller have now been awarded the European State Prize 2018 by the Austrian Federal Government for the initiative “Europa.cafe”.
The Modification Center of the Lagermax Autotransport GmbH in Straßwalchen near Salzburg builds the Piaggio Ape for many different special uses, no matter if beer ape, ice ape, hot dog ape or milk mobile, the creative possibilities are limitless. The customers receive their very special vehicle from the vision of the origin, over the complete project support up to the completion and TÜV single acceptance with Lagermax. The small mobile information or stalls provide enough space to house all the necessary products and equipment and attract attention.
