WienCont Container Terminal GmbH, a subsidiary of the Wien Holding’s company Hafen Wien, has a new member in its management team: Andreas Fehringer has been responsible for container services and finance since 1 January 2020. He succeeds Georg Wurz as Managing Director, who has taken on new responsibilities within the Wien Holding Group. Harald Jony will remain the Managing Director, responsible for sales and operations.

Andreas Fehringer started his career in 1989 in his own family business in the container and forwarding logistics business. In 1998 he was working for WienCont, among other things as authorised signatory and project manager for the expansion of the Wien Freudenau intermodal terminal in cooperation with ÖBB Infrastruktur Bau AG. In 2011, he founded his sole proprietorship Fehringer’s Technical Service & Consulting GmbH (FTSC), in which WienCont took a stake on 1 January 2019.

“Andreas Fehringer’s many years of experience in container services are a valuable and important addition to the growth of WienCont. With his practical knowledge, he will mainly merge and develop the repair services of both companies”, emphasises Harald Jony.

WienCont operates a multimodal transhipment terminal at the Port of Vienna and offers trimodal transport technology. In addition to handling block train services to the major seaports and continental transport hubs, the company is active in container trade and offers also container repair and customs services. Fehringer’s Technical Service Consulting GmbH specialises in services such as mobile inspection and repair of load units.
