Vegatrans continues to rely on Iveco Natural Power

The international transport company Vegatrans based in Wals-Siezenheim had launched its first LNG vehicle on the occasion of the opening of the first LNG filling station in Ennshafen in September 2017. Now they continues to rely on this sustainability concept and is expanding its fleet with a further nine Iveco CNG and LNG vehicles.

The ordered Stralis NP will all come with the latest 460 hp natural gas engine that combines the environmental benefits of natural gas, the most environmentally friendly fuel for internal combustion engines, and the most advanced sustainable transport solution available today, reads a press release. Its proven technology delivers 99 per cent reduction in particulate matter and 60 per cent reduction in NOx compared to Euro 6 limits.

Vegatrans is the market leader in the field of commercial vehicle transport. The company moves approximately 60,000 vehicles a year, and operates as carrier for manufacturers such as MAN, Iveco, Mercedes and Volvo. Their employees cover about 35 million km every year. The logistics and planning required is controlled from the headquarters in Salzburg. 11 subsidiaries are located throughout Europe and Asia.
