Universal Transport with new subsidiary in Turkey

The heavy haulage specialist Universal Transport is further expanding its business. Following acquisitions and start-ups in the U.S. and more recently in the Egyptian market, the company starts operating a branch in Turkey in August. The company Universal Transport Gürkan (UTG) is managed together with Gürkan Nakliyat and can operate with its own fleet from the very beginning.

In addition to the fleet comprising 60 vehicles, the Turkish partner brings longstanding experience in the field of heavy transport as well as its network. In 2015 Universal Transport had already opened a representative office in Istanbul. The clear objective of UTG is organising transports from Europe to the Near East and the region around the Caspian Sea, in addition to local transports in the respective countries.

Universal Transport is an international transport company headquartered in Paderborn, Germany. The company with 600 employees has a fleet of 350 vehicles for heavy haulage logistics and 21 branches in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Russia, Austria, Turkey and Egypt. Pre-carriage to seaports is organised within the designated transport network of Universal Transport.
