Before Thai Airways will launch four weekly non-stop flights from Vienna to Bangkok starting on November 16, 2017, the capacity was increased. The Thai airline will deploy a Boeing 777-300ER, instead of the initially planned Boeing B777-200ER aircraft.
“We are very pleased about the positive reception of our non-stop flights to Austria and Central Europe, and being able to serve this demand,”, says Jesada Chandrema, Regional Director Europe Thai Airways, commenting on the new flight connection.
A Boeing B777-300ER with the flight number TG937 will take off on the Vienna-Bangkok route every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flights will leave Bangkok at 1:30 a.m. and land at 7 a.m. local time in Vienna. The return flight from Vienna will depart at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in the Thai capital at 5:20 a.m. local time. Thanks to optimal transfer times, passengers and cargo customers can conveniently reach connecting flights to Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Thai Airways started flying to destinations in Asia in 1960. It already regularly served Vienna in the period 1988 to 1993. At present Thai Airways boasts a fleet of 96 aircraft. Apart from Bangkok the route network includes twelve destinations in Thailand and more than 70 destinations across the globe.
