In the 50th year of their existence, TFG Transfracht esceeded the 1 million TEU mark in terms of transport volume for the first time. In 2019, a total of 1.035 million TEU were transported, tells a press release of the specialist for container transport logistics.

“We are very pleased to accept this birthday present from our customers and our partners. We also want to address special thanks to them – for their loyalty and their TEU. Moreover, the TFG team is proud to set another milestone in the company’s history despite the difficult market conditions last year”, says Bernd Pahnke, CEO of TFG Transfracht.

TFG 2019 defied the difficult market conditions by consistently expanding its service portfolio and optimising its services. The key measures included the expansion of the southern and western port services with Koper and Rotterdam, the introduction of new products, further network consolidation, a switch to digital order processing and the further development of the digital booking platform box2rail.

TFG Transfracht is the market leader for containerised seaport hinterland services in Germany. Its extensive AlbatrosExpress network enables the company to operate daily connections from the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Koper and Rotterdam to over 15,000 locations throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. TFG Transfracht is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG.
