As of 18th October 2019, TFG Transfracht will integrate the port of Rotterdam into its network, in line with its strategy of internationalisation. The specialist of containerised seaport hinterland traffic is adding Europe’s biggest deep sea port to its AlbatrosExpress rail network, as the second port this year after Koper.

Westport traffic is handled in a partnership with CMA CGM Group, a world-leading shipping and logistics company. Thus, TFG continues to focus on customer-related logistics solutions in maritime traffic. DB Cargo will provide traction for these trains with its international lineup.

At the same time, TFG is expanding its nationwide network and connecting two new terminals, Duisburg and Ludwigshafen. Six times a week, the AlbatrosExpress trains will run between Rotterdam, Dortmund, Duisburg and Ludwigshafen.

“We are very pleased to offer our customers a wide range of intermodal solutions and therefore everything from a single source. Whether west, north or south ports – we offer tailor-made solutions across five ports and 22 terminals. We are particularly pleased to have a powerful partner at our side – CMA CGM,” explains Bernd Pahnke, Spokesman of the Management TFG Transfracht.

With transport volumes of 950,000 TEU in 2018, TFG Transfracht will be the market leader in containerised seaport hinterland traffic of German seaports. With its nationwide AlbatrosExpress network, the Deutsche Bahn AG company daily connects the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven and Koper (Slovenia) to more than 15,000 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
