The integrated transport- and logistics service provider DB Schenker opens a new 34.000 m² logistics terminal in St. Pölten (Lower Austria) after a construction time of ten months and thereby triples their space in Lower Austria. In total more than EUR 11 million were invested into the new location which creates a capacity generating 100 jobs in meets state-of-the-art requirements regarding energy efficiency and environmental protection.
The new location offers 5.000 m² of logistics space with high-rack and block storage spaces which equals about 6.500 palette storage positions as well as a 2.000 m² cross-docking- respectively handling space. Besides the new location offers their own siding for the environmentally-friendly transport of goods by rail.
