In the 2017 financial year, water handling in the port of Linz developed positively, rising from 700,124 to 716,769 tonnes. Total land handling at 2.055 million tonnes was just below the level of the previous year. 419,634 tonnes were handled in the trading port, which is a slight decline of 2.8%. Container throughput was slightly down at 208,916 TEU. These figures were announced by Linz AG Director-General DI Erich Haider in a press conference last week.

The rental business also runs well for the Port of Linz. Except for a some office space, all properties are rented. “Österreichische Donaulager GmbH developed very well in the 2017 financial year with its proven full-service provider strategy. The deep-freeze warehouses and the dangerous goods warehouses (including storage for lithium-ion batteries) were well to very well utilized, they state.
