Sale of Q-Logistics is wrapped up

The Mutares group wins the tender to buy Q-Logistics; the closing of the transaction is expected for the end of 2019/ beginning 2020

Last Frida the seller’s committees of Q Logistics GmbH accepted the binding bid of Mutares SE & Co. KGaA to acquire the business of the subsidiary of Oesterreichische Bundesbahnen – Holding Aktiengesellschaft (ÖBB). The acquisition is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2019, respectively first quarter of 2020. Mutares submitted a binding offer for the takeover of Q Logistics on October 18th, 2019.

Q Logistics will strengthen Mutares’ “Goods & Services” portfolio segment. The company is a provider of cross-border transport logistics and warehousing services with a nationwide network in Austria. It is active in general cargo as well as charter and serves customers from various sectors, including the food, pharmaceutical and fast-moving consumer goods industries. In fiscal year 2018, Q Logistics generated consolidated total sales (including the subsidiary in the Czech Republic) of around EUR 250 million and employed a total of around 920 people.

KGaA, Munich, acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe In 2018, Mutares’ portfolio companies generated consolidated revenues of EUR 865 million and employed more than 4,700 people worldwide. The shares of Mutares SE are listed on Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
