The Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is the first rail freight company to handle a container train on the 7,000 kilometer route from Xi’an (13 million inhabitants) to Budapest. After more than 7,000 kilometers, the test Train loaded with consumer goods has arrived via the Záhony-Eperjeske transhipment terminal in the Rail Cargo Terminal – BILK. The transport was operated on the route via Kazakhstan and Ukraine, and took 10 days.

RCG operates multiple regular Services between Asia and Europe. For most part, goods from China are transported to Hungary via the port of Piraeus (Greece), or via the Adriatic ports and in some cases via the continental corridors. From the seaports, every other day on average one Train is operated to Central Europe.

In addition, RCG is involved in the processing of about 1,600 trains per year and thus handles around 120,000 TEU. This relieves the environment of 60,000 truck trips and hundreds of thousands of tons of greenhouse gases.
