Opening of a new location in Kazakhstan, the company based in Straßwalchen is further expanding its presence along the Silk Road. Quehenberger Logistics Kazakhstan (“Quehenberger Logistics KZ”) is expanding the contract logistics area at its new location in Almaty, by adding a warehouse with a total area of 1,500 m². Since May 1, 2018, all logistics services for an international tire manufacturer have been handled there.
In addition to the expansion of contract logistics, Quehenberger Logistics is also expanding its product Q Traction by opening the new location. Transports to and from China are currently being carried out via the Trans-Siberian route. In the future, these can be also carried out using the transport options of the Eurasian land belt of the new Silk Road (“One Belt, One Road”).
The Quehenberger Logistics expert team in Kazakhstan will also be responsible for coordinating and controlling all transport services in Central Asia. “For Quehenberger Logistics as a logistics specialist in the CIS countries, the next logical step after Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova, was the addition of a location in Kazakhstan,” explains Klaus Hrazdira, COO Quehenberger Logistics.
